I Don't Care -
"I Don't Care" is a very desperate song. It's basically a song I wrote about giving in. Haha -and that's something I hate to do. In my position, and you may find in your life to, there are many different expectations on you from different people, parents, teachers, peers etc. At times I’ve felt like everyone has a different opinion on who I should be and I can't get a word in edgewise. "Wrap me up so superficial." The thing I struggled with most, was when people actually liked this "fake" me. "Don't I look pretty?" So at times I felt like I should just play the charade and "not care." I've had to pick the right battles to fight and I've had to know when to just go with the flow. Life will hit you with lots of surprises and it may seem like a bummer at the time, but don't let those things stress you out. What's done is done. "As the world tilts, milk is spilt but I'm not going to cry. No use fighting gravity so I'm not going to try."

Sharada -
Sharada is a bout me! It’s about all dreamers and I am definitely a dreamer.

Fallen Through -
The general meaning is my trust in things falling through. It sounds like a relationship song and that's because most people can relate to that more than other situations. I'm finding that in the boy, girl relationship department I've related to that song more after I wrote it. I was actually kinda frustrated with the plans for my career falling though at the point when I wrote it. I had finished most of my album when I was signed. I had the impression that nothing would be changed to my album after I got my record deal. I wrote "Number One" "Fallen Through" "Tangled Up In Me" and "I Don't Care" all after I was signed and in that order. "Billy S." was my first single released off the "How To Deal" soundtrack. Originally it was supposed to be the first single to launch the album off of too. There was going to be a huge marketing push with that song on the movie trailers etc. in a couple words that is what "Fell Though." The movie and the single didn't do as well as the people on my end thought it would. For a while it felt like my career was going nowhere. So Capitol helped me hook up with the other producers, and writers of "Number One". Although looking back on it "Number One" is one of my favourite songs on the album, I was disappointed that my good friend, writer producer and musician James wasn't going to be involved. So in a scramble to make a so called "hit" we wrote "Fallen Through" in his basement studio where most of the album was made. It's just an example of how a negative feeling can be turned into a positive thing. Never give up hope!

Shot To Pieces -
This song is the struggle to breakaway from negativity. As you can tell I’m being pretty negative myself so it’s like I’m fighting fire with fire. Basically when people try to criticize or hurt you you’ve got to come out stronger and “runaway” from the things that put you down.

Split Personality -
I wrote this song about my “stage persona”, the SKYE that is the spotlight seeker. When I get on stage this feeling comes over me so strongly that it’s like I’ve transformed into (dun dun da da!) Super Singing Stage Performing Skye! This song is the battle of SSSPS (Super Singing Stage Performing Skye) and the regular Skye. SSSPS won.
